At the University of Pretoria Youth Choir (UPYC), we believe music is more than just performance – it is a catalyst for change. Comprising 90 talented teenagers from 34 diverse schools across Pretoria, our choir represents the “born-free” generation of South Africa.
Under the baton of Lhente-Mari Pitout, we blend the spirit of Ubuntu with world-class musicality. Whether we are performing at the Union Buildings or winning gold medals in Europe, our mission remains the same: to bridge cultural divides and inspire hope through the power of song.
The most exciting realization in the world is understanding that living the life of your dreams is entirely up to you
